Subject: Sandman wins the day!

Dear Sandy, Just wanted to give you a quick report of Sandman's 1st day. We gave him a while to settle in with the other two horses--they fought over who was going to be boss and he just quietly let them have their way so it was not a rough transition at all. Later on in the afternoon, my husband wanted to see how Sandman (Valentino) rode so we saddled everyone up and my husband rode the Ruby and Apollo while my daughter and I took turns on Valentino. He was great. My daughter was nervous to get him to gait but once he did, she loved it! At one point, while Nicole was on Valentino, Apollo spooked at the edge of the field and started bucking and twisting and my husband fell off. Nicole quietly slipped off Valentino and held his reins while Apollo had an out-of-control fit for the next few minutes. Valentino just stood there quietly with Nicole until she was ready to get back on. I was so proud of him. He is just what you said. Thank you. Thanks again, Debbie.

Subject: Re: Butterscotch

Hi Sandy, Butterscotch traveled very well home. We arrive at my sisters at 1:15am and unloaded him. He was great the whole trip. What an awesome guy. Aside from one of my sister's horses not being thrilled about him he was well received by all at her place. The vet did a external exam and aside from maybe the eyes being irritated a little the vet says he looks good. We have a little ointment the vet gave us just in case it is infection and not just irritation in the eye.  My 13 year old niece just loves him and they have been having fun together. I wanted to share a cute story with you. I left Sunday to come home and that evening my niece called to tell me something my horse did. I don't know if you ever noticed but Butterscotch doesn't swallow all the water he drinks.  About 30 seconds after he stops he lets it drain out. This may be common but I've not witnessed it before that I recall. Anyway, Colleen was in the pasture with Regina checking on the horses before calling it a night. She had just finished giving him a drink (we noticed he likes us to hold the H2O bucket up) and my sister started scratching his neck. Colleen was at his head and he started scratching back (as they do) on the top of Colleen's head; when he let loose with the H2O still in his mouth and soaked her. I wish I'd have seen that. It sounded so funny!!! Well, thank you for this sweet, loving and light horse. I feel he will be a great partner and look forward to the new journey with him.
Cathy

Subject: update on straight to the point

Sandy,

As I was riding last night, I knew I had to update you on straight to the point, known to us as voodoo.  after owning him for almost a year I can honestly say that he is a member of our family and will live out his golden years here at our place.  as a former show horse, voodoo has taken to the life of a trail horse.  he makes quite an impression scooting down the trail or across the fields when he really kicks it up a notch.

Riding with mainly non-gaited horses, voodoo can flat walk when hanging with slower riders which makes visiting possible.  I also get a chance to enjoy the scenery.  earlier this summer,  we were asked to carry the American flag in the grand entry parade at the annual chuck wagon races in sedan, Kansas.  voodoo didn't mind the flag flapping around his head or the chaos of the chuck wagons passing him.  people in the crowd asked me what breed of horse he was and told me that he was a beautiful mover.  chalk one up for the TWH.  my kids are showing an interest in riding and I will be contacting you when we actively start looking for another horse.  I enjoy logging onto your website and looking at the quality horses you work with and sell.  keep up the good work,

melissa howe

Subject: Apache Testimonial

Sandy,

WE LOVE APACHE! I had so much fun riding him in the Ozarks for a week, it was hard to give him over to my son when I got home! Apache was great on the 20-plus hour trip home...a real trooper even though he was by himself. It was a long hard trip for me, but Apache made it so much easier. He unloaded at every gas station/rest area and was very well behaved, not spooky or silly or anything. He is such a sweetie and a pleasure to be around.

Here is a picture of my 15 year old son on Apache. We went riding in Wyoming's Bridger Teton National Forest this Memorial Day weekend and had a great time! Apache was so good camping overnight, and he was by far the calmest, most well behaved of our horses on the trail. This was our first big trip of the year for our other horses, so they were a bit frisky. Even though Apache was in completely new surroundings, he did not let our horses get him stirred up. My son is so excited to have a gaited horse of his own, now he can keep up with our gaited horses without having to trot all day. He and Apache look so good together it was like they were made for each other!

Thank you so much for keeping him since January, and taking such good care of him until the weather was good enough for me to come get him. I think that having you work him for a week really settled him down from a winter off, making him steady, calm and ready for lots of summer riding. I just can't say one bad thing about Apache, he is perfect for us and we feel lucky to have found him on your webpage. Thank you again for everything.

Sincerely, Lara Oles

Subject: Feedback-Pride's Class Act

Sandy,

I purchased 'Pride's Class Act'  (the black Tennessee Walker) last month and just returned from a weeks trail riding in the Missouri Ozarks.  To say I am impressed with "Lucky" would be an understatement!  He is intelligent, patient, extremely willing, calm,  has a very smooth gait, in a nutshell, a perfect horse.  He's everything advertised and much, much more.  In me you have a very satisfied customer.

 Very Sincerely,

    Florence Manning

Sandy,

I got the photo's, twice!.. Thanks. Real nice photo of Red and Denise!  We all had a great time at the show! I think it worked out well with Red. He has a great disposition and the girls really enjoyed showing him.

Please thank Lewis for us. We appreciate him bringing Red down.

When Denise and I got home , we spent some time riding our spotted horse, Apache, and I think he looks pretty good. He is goosey though and we are working on that. When he walks, he seems to really pick up his front feet and he glides along real smooth, he covers ALLOT of ground real fast. I don't know if he has any show potential, but maybe you can work with him this fall / winter and see what you think.

Thank you for everything you did with us this summer. Lindsey has gained so much confidence with her riding. It really has changed the way she rides. She seems so much more comfortable and sure of herself when we go riding together!

Talk to you later,
Dave

SANDY, HI

MARK SIBLEY.   I BOUGHT COOL HAND LUKE FROM YOU ABOUT A YEAR AGO. HOW ARE YOU DOING? I MAY BE IN THE MARKET FOR ANOTHER HORSE FOR MY GIRL FRIEND IN A YEAR OR SO. SHE IS JUST GETTING BACK INTO RIDING AND I WANT HER TO RIDE A GAITED HORSE. I WILL BE WATCHING YOUR WEB SITE FOR A SMALLER QUITE WALKER FOR HER. 15 HANDS WOULD BE PERFECT SHE IS NOT REAL BIG A LITTLE OVER 5 FEET AND WOULD BE MORE COMFORTABLE ON A SHORTER HORSE. LUKE IS TURNING OUT TO BE A GREAT HORSE. HE IS GAITING VERY WELL HE REALLY LIKE OPENS COUNTRY AND IS MORE RELAXED IN THE OPEN AND REALLY GAITS ALONG SUPER. I RODE HIM IN MONTANA THIS SPRING WITH MY COUSIN WHO WAS ON A TALLER QUARTER HORSE MARE. HIS HORSE HAD TO REALLY STRETCH IN A LONG TROT TO STAY WITH LUKE. WHEN HE RELAXES IT IS THE SMOOTHEST RIDE I HAVE EVER HAD ON ANY HORSE. LUKE HAS A GREAT ATTITUDE AND TEMPERAMENT AND IS FANTASTIC TO HANDLE ON THE GROUND OR IN SADDLE. HE WILL ONLY GET BETTER WITH AGE. ANYWAY I WILL KEEP WATCHING AND WHEN WE ARE READY TO BUY I WILL CONTACT YOU. IF YOU DON'T HAVE ANYTHING THERE I'M SURE YOU CAN FIND IT. THANK YOU MARK SIBLEY

 Happy new owner Melissa and
Straight To The Point.

HE WAS AWESOME this weekend.  For being thrown into a totally new situation,  he acted better than I expected him too.  we rode for about nine hours total.....through mud, gumbo, water, rocks  and fields.  he was fired up sat. morning and a little nervous at having to  be held back, but we worked it out.  had lots of compliments about  appearance and gait. I took lots of pictures and will get some to you soon.  He's going to work out just fine.  I still haven't decided on a name  yet.....he's just "the new horse" for now.  I rode him in a copper mouth, long shank snaffle this weekend and he got  along all right with it.
Thanks for the really cool horse....I feel lucky to have found him and you.
 melissa
